A distinguished and perceptive entrepreneur, Khondoker Monir Uddin, the founder and promoter of Shanta, opts to do business by providing world-class products and services in Bangladesh. With his visionary leadership and extensive business knowledge, Shanta drives forward to not only provide superior quality products and services but to demonstrate unparalleled foresight by developing iconic projects which are the epitome of modern architecture, safe, functional and comfortable living. The reputation and success of Shanta are testaments to his strong ethics and relentless focus on quality, innovation and social responsibility. He is widely regarded as one of the most successful entrepreneurs in Bangladesh.​

Mr. Monir completed both his Bachelor with honors and Master’s degrees from the Department of Accounting, University of Dhaka. Over the past three decades, he has established Shanta as one of the leading corporate houses in Bangladesh, with successful investments in diversified sectors and thus has been continually recognized as a Commercially Important Person (CIP) by the Government of Bangladesh since 2000 till date. Mr. Monir is also a founder and Managing Director of Shanta Holdings Limited and prestigious STS Group – which revolutionized the healthcare and education sectors of the country by establishing international standard institutions like Evercare Hospital Dhaka (previously Apollo Hospitals Dhaka), Evercare Hospital Chattogram, International School Dhaka (ISD), the DPS STS schools and Glenrich International School. He is alsoa sponsor Director and former Chairman of Dhaka Bank Limited, the Managing Director of Shanta Securities Limited and Chairman of Shanta Life Insurance PLC.​

Mrs. Jasmine Sultana

Mrs. Jasmine Sultana, Director of Shanta Holdings Limited and wife of Mr. Khondoker Monir Uddin, obtained her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Dhaka and has been a key stakeholder behind the success of Shanta Holdings Limited over the past decades. She is an experienced entrepreneur with a long track record and is also ex-Chairperson of Dhaka Bank Limited. She is also recognized as a Commercially Important Person(CIP) by the Government of Bangladesh for her contributions. Under her strong leadership and entrepreneurial spirit, Shanta has become one of the leading Conglomerate in the real estate developers in the country.

Mahmudul Haque

With over 23 years of professional experience, including a decade specializing in the Facilities Management (FM) industry, he brings a blend of technical expertise and strategic vision to his role. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mr. Mahmud’s career seamlessly bridges engineering precision with innovative facility management solutions. Since joining Shanta seven years ago, he has played an instrumental role in transforming the company’s Facilities Management department into a thriving, independent Strategic Business Unit (SBU) under Shanta Holdings. His leadership has been central to driving operational excellence, fostering client centric solutions, and spearheading sustainable growth strategies that align with Shanta’s commitment to innovation and quality.

Irshad Rahman

Head of Business

With a strong foundation in business leadership and human capital management, Mr. Irshadur Rahman brings a diverse and distinguished career encompassing corporate HR, multinational exposure, military leadership, and academic grounding from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA). He currently leads Shanta Properties Management Limited, where he plays a pivotal role in driving profitable business growth and shaping people strategy.

Earlier in his corporate career, he made significant contributions to organizational and people strategy, ensuring compliance and strengthening administrative governance. His tenure at Nestlé Bangladesh Limited, a renowned multinational, enabled him to develop deep expertise in talent management, employee relations, and HR planning.

Prior to entering the corporate sector, Mr. Rahman served in the Bangladesh Army, holding key command, instructional, staff, and people management roles, through which he gained extensive experience in career planning, training, administration, discipline, and performance management. A widely traveled professional, he brings a global perspective to his leadership approach. His career uniquely blends strategic leadership, multinational experience, and academic insight, making him a well-rounded professional committed to organizational excellence and people development.
